Charcoal Mud Mask – Buy or Bye Bye?

Charcoal face masks seem to be all the range at the minute – almost everyone I speak to is raving about the amazing benefits of using a charcoal face masks, particularly for acne prone skin (like mine). Recently a lovely lady from the company Taralee Natural Beauty contacted me through Instagram and said she’s love to send me her Charcoal Mud Mask  to review on my blog. Of course I was super exited to finally get rid of all my black heads and try out a new product from a company I’d never tried before.

About the company

The company is owned by Taralee a YouTuber/Blogger  and she makes all of the products herself. All of the products are also completely natural which means that the products are going to be much better for your skin because they’re not full of nasty chemicals.

About the product

The Charcoal Mud Mask is part of the Activate Charcoal Beauty Range which also includes a Toothpaste, Teeth Whitener, and Charcoal Facial Scrub. It contains Activated Charcoal Powder to detox, cleanse and sooth the skin, and Bentonite Clay to remove toxins and impurities from the skin. And if that’s not good enough for you – it smells of lemons too!!!

Testing it out

I’ve found that the best way to apply this is to massage it onto wet skin and I then leave it on for 20 minutes as the instructions tell me to do. It dries and sets really, really quickly – I’d say within the first 20 seconds after application. While drying it itches a little but once it’s fully set any discomfort is completely gone. I washed off the product using a wet flannel and it comes off really easily.

This stuff, honestly, is AMAZING!!! My skin feels so much softer and smoother than prior to application, my blackheads were completely reduced, my pores feel and look like they have had a deep cleaning and are much smaller and less block and any redness on my face has been reduced and my spots look much less irritated and have decreased in size. Over the next few days I found that my makeup applied much more easily and I used much less product. My skin overall feels much more healthy and is much less prone to acne and imperfections.

Overall I feel like this is a great product and I would seriously recommend. I’ve started using the product twice a week and the difference in my skin is just — incredible. I love it.
