The Perfect Chocolate Brownies // Baking With Bethan

Hi again!

It’s no secret I’m a major foodie and chocolate brownies are one of my favourite chocolatey treats! I recently baked some brownies which where honestly some of the best brownies I’ve ever eaten so I thought I’d share how I made them with you guys! This recipe is loosely based on this recipe here but I have changed it up quite a bit to make it a lil’ more to my taste. This recipe is super easy and quick to do, I really hope you enjoy this post!

What you’ll need // Ingredients

ingredients 1100g of Stork or Butter

175g of Caster Sugar

75g of Light Brown Sugar

 

125g of Plain Chocolate

1 tablespoon of Gold Syrup

2 Free-range Eggssugar.jpeg

1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

90g of Plain Flour

25g of Self-Raising Flour

2 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder

1 tablespoon of Milk

What you do // Method

  1. Start off by preheating your oven to 170CUntitled design (1)
  2. Add the butter, sugar, chocolate, and golden syrup into a pan on medium heat, stir until it is smooth with no lumps – as it starts to melt begin to reduce the heat to avoid the mixture burning
  3. Once the mixture has completely melted turn off the heat and leave it to coolegg.jpeg
  4. Whisk the two eggs in a bowl
  5. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder and milk together and mix them to form a thick paste. When adding the flour make sure you sieve the flour into the mix to make sure as much air gets into the mixture as possible
  6. Gradually add the first mixture to the paste, stir then add more until the two mixtures form a smooth mix with no lumpsUntitled design (2)
  7. Grease a tin and poor the mixture into the tin
  8. Place in the oven and leave to cook for 20-25 minutes
  9. Remove and allow to cool before serving
